WHAT ARE YOU WORKING ON NOW?
I’m currently making some revisions to a book I released last year but am re-releasing with an all new cover, an all new title, and a bonus short story.
WHAT ORDER SHOULD I READ THE BOOKS?
No order. 🙂 The Silver Lake books are loosely connected, in that they all take place in the town of Silver Lake and some characters do cross over to other stories. But you can definitely read them in any order you’d like without missing anything.
ARE YOUR CHARACTERS BASED ON REAL LIFE PEOPLE?
WHAT IS YOUR WRITING PROCESS?
It changes a bit for every book, but lately, I find that I write a very fast, very sloppy rough draft. Takes about a week or two. Then I leave the story alone for about another week just to let it all marinate in my subconscious, and then I attack it with (sort of) fresh eyes again. Revisions usually take another few weeks, and then I send it to beta readers. From there, I take in their notes and suggestions, make changes accordingly, and then I leave it alone once more for about another week before I go back into it to make any other changes or adjustments.
However…like I said, it changes for every book. I’m currently working on a story that I started in 2014. Wrote the first draft in about a week, and it’s been 2 YEARS and I’m still revising. I’ve had to break this story apart and start from scratch on more than one occasion. But there is finally light at the end of the tunnel. Expect news soon!

Sorry, but due to time constraints, I’m unable to blurb or read manuscripts. But there are tons of great resources out there if you’d like someone to help get your story in shape. And if you’re looking for a top-tier, professional editor, I highly recommend Anita Mumm from Mumm’s the Word.

WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO START THE TAKE THE LEAD CAMPAIGN.
MY DOCTOR SAYS I SHOULDN’T EXERCISE/THERE ARE RESTRICTIONS TO THE TYPES OF EXERCISES I CAN DO. CAN I STILL BE A PART OF TAKE THE LEAD?
You should always listen to your doctor! In no way do I want the articles on this site to supersede doctor’s orders. And if a particular exercise hurts, stop immediately! It’s so important to listen to your body and take care of yourself. This website is here to help inspire you, not take the place of medical advice.

My next challenge group is actually happening right now! I know it’s the holidays, but consider this challenge group like a head start on the new year. No crazy exercise programs, no crazy eating schedule. This end of year challenge group is a springboard for success in the new year and it’s totally free.
WHY DO YOU PROMOTE BEACHBODY WORKOUTS/PRODUCTS?
Beachbody has been the only exercise program that has worked for me. And not just worked in the sense that I lost weight, but worked in that it changed my mentality about fitness in general. I no longer view fitness as weight loss, but rather gaining health – healthy eating habits, drinking habits, moving habits.
I also like the positivity Beachbody promotes. I don’t like trainers that yell, I don’t like programs that make you feel like you’re not able to do them.
